Privacy Policy for Manex Merchants
Manex Merchants is an application for merchant users that helps simplify their workflow by allowing them to find corporate RFQs, offers, and place bids. This Privacy Policy explains how Solarus Smart Solutions handles information in connection with the Manex Merchants mobile application and related services.
1. Who We Are
This application is operated by Solarus Smart Solutions ("we", "us", or "our"). The app name is Manex Merchants.
2. Who Uses This App
Manex Merchants is intended for merchant users in Egypt. It is not intended for children.
3. Account Registration and Access
Users may receive access to the service through account creation on the portal or through account creation by their administrator. Users log in using a username and password.
Users cannot delete their account directly inside the mobile application. Account deletion can be requested or completed through the portal or through the user's administrator, depending on the account setup.
4. Information We Collect
Most account and business information related to Manex Merchants is submitted by users through the portal rather than directly through the mobile app. On the mobile side, we aim to minimize data collection.
Depending on how the service is used, the following categories of information may be processed:
- Account information, such as username and account-related profile information made available through the portal.
- Business activity information, such as RFQs, offers, and bids associated with the merchant account.
- Technical diagnostics information, such as crash-related information used to detect, diagnose, and fix app errors.
- Location data, only if location-based site map functionality is introduced and enabled in a future version of the app.
5. Information We Do Not Currently Use for Advertising or Payments
The app does not currently use user information for advertising purposes. The app also does not process in-app payments.
6. How We Use Information
We may use information processed through Manex Merchants for the following purposes:
- to provide access to the application and authenticate users,
- to display RFQs, offers, and bids,
- to maintain, secure, and improve the app and related services,
- to investigate technical issues, crashes, and service reliability problems,
- to support account management through the portal or administrators, and
- to comply with legal obligations where applicable.
7. Notifications and Permissions
The app may request or use the following permissions depending on the released version and enabled features:
- Notifications: to notify users when a new RFQ is created.
- Location: not currently used, but reserved for potential future site map functionality if implemented in a later release.
We do not request permissions that are not needed for the app's functionality. If a future version uses additional permissions, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.
8. Sharing of Information
We do not sell user personal information. We do not share user data with third parties for advertising or marketing.
We use Firebase Crashlytics to monitor app stability and diagnose crashes. As part of that service, technical and diagnostic information such as device information, crash logs, and app usage related to a crash event may be processed to help us detect, analyze, and fix application issues.
9. Data Retention
We keep information only for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain operational records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements where applicable.
If a user requests deletion through the portal, the requested account data will be deleted promptly in accordance with our internal procedures and any legal or operational retention requirements that may apply.
10. Account and Data Deletion
Users can request account or data deletion through the portal or through their administrator. Based on the information currently provided, deletion requests are handled promptly after request processing.
11. Children's Privacy
Manex Merchants is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child has provided personal information in violation of applicable law, we will take appropriate steps to delete that information.
12. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. Based on the information provided, data transmission uses HTTPS. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect operational, legal, or technical changes. The updated version will be posted at the same URL with a revised effective date.
